“Blessed is he who considers the poor!
The Lord delivers him in the day of trouble.” Ps 41:1

In April 2009, instead of heading to the beaches near Barcelona, the glamorous sites of Paris, or enchanting Ireland, 15 Franciscan University students headed east, answering a call of their heart to serve on mission in Romania…

No one knew what to expect, no one could imagine how the 10-day trip would unfold.

That was the beginning of the Romania Mission trips, which continued for the next 10 years with over 600 students carrying on the tradition of going east for a life-changing encounter:

“The experiences and lessons I learned there will remain with me for the rest of my life. I was so inspired…” – Luke

“The kids didn’t know us, but they completely loved us, and I thought that was beautiful. They had nothing, but they were so joyful. It was so touching.” – Caitlin

“It changed my life forever in more ways than I ever would have imagined. While in Romania, I was shown how universal the love of God is.” – Catherine

In these pandemic times, it isn’t possible for a group of students to go to Romania. But it is possible for us to continue supporting our friends there!

Join us in supporting three projects in Romania: the Sacred Heart Foundation in Baia Mare, the Children’s Home in Turt, and the Love and Truth Center in Cluj.

Let’s make this Spring 2021 a memorable one of JOY and HOPE!
