How beautiful to see the universality of the language of God’s love: across Europe, Russia, and China, the birth of our Lord is celebrated with the same joy!
Here are some photos from LCI students, past and present, celebrating Christmas…
in China
in Siberia (at – 42 degrees!) where Fr. Petro is serving the faithful in remote communities
and in Azerbaijan with Apostolic Administrator Fr. Vladimir, who learned English at LCI’s special course for bishops
The LCI office received many other greetings from Belarus, Czech Republic, Kosovo, Lithuania, Slovakia, Ukraine – where the violent conflict is causing much suffering – and from Kazakhstan, a Muslim country where December 25 is a normal work day.
May it be truly said of all us that we know how to keep Christmas well! (Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol)
